Asa Tribe wins Sure Rising Star Award
We are excited to announce the recipient of the Sure Rising Star Award in the Betway Channel Islands Sports Awards 2023 – none other than the talented cricketer, Asa Tribe. The award, sponsored by Sure, aims to recognise and support young athletes who demonstrate exceptional potential and dedication in their chosen sport across the Channel Islands.
Jersey’s Asa Tribe has had an outstanding year. Notably, he secured his maiden one-day international hundred for Jersey, showcasing his batting prowess and skill. Asa achieved the same milestone twice for Glamorgan's second team, further solidifying his status as a rising star in the cricketing world.
Although Asa was unable to attend the ceremony, his father Mark graciously accepted the award on his behalf, describing it as "wonderful" and a testament to Asa's hard work and dedication.
