If you are a Pay As You Go customer you can top up while you roam using MySure or Instant top up. Please be aware that if you use Instant Top up you will not benefit from rewards.
Roaming Tips.
WiFi is available in many airports, hotels, restaurants etc so make sure you switch to WiFi where you can.
Most phones will let you turn off mobile data for individual apps. It's a good idea to do this for the apps you don't need to use while you are away, especially data heavy ones such as streaming services like YouTube, Netflix and Spotify.
You can use the MySure app to check your call, text and data usage.
We recommend downloading the app before you travel.
Our Pay Monthly plans have Roaming Spend Limits that are set to £50 for calls and texts, and £50 for data. We can increase or reduce these limits if you prefer.
If you’re a Pay As You Go customer, you’ll need to top up your credit to use your phone abroad, our plans come with roaming inclusions when you top up from £10.
Where possible you should avoid calling premium or non-geographic numbers (they usually start with 09 but can be others) while you are traveling.
You could be charged for accessing your voicemail, so you may want to turn it off. Here’s more information on how to use your voicemail while travelling.
