Customer Advice – Residential Broadband Installations

Sure is working closely with Manx Telecom to help customers understand what is happening with their current Broadband order or any order which they would like to place with Sure in the future until the Covid 19 pandemic issue recedes.

From the end of Wednesday 25th March all visits to residential premises were ceased until further notice.

However, where required for high priority orders such as services for key workers and vulnerable customers they may still be possible and will be prioritised. Before gaining entry into any home in the future, individual conversations with home occupiers will take place to ensure the safety of both the home occupier and the engineering staff.

With immediate effect, all other orders will be accepted, but if an engineer visit is required, the order will be placed on hold until engineer visits resume. Affected customers will be advised if this is the case.

Where an order does not require an engineer’s visit to the home, these orders will be accepted.

MT have assured Sure that they will continue to provide essential maintenance of customer services where it is not necessary to enter the household. Maintenance within the home will only occur for key workers and vulnerable customers once a safety and risk assessment has been made.
