Game-changing connectivity

We are proud to be the Technology Partner for the Guernsey 2023 NatWest International Island Games. Upgrading the connectivity at all 25 sporting venues, aiming to deliver the greatest fan and athlete experience possible at the international sporting event.

Supporting our local community

“We are thrilled to set a new standard for connectivity at Guernsey’s sporting venues, we set out to deliver an amazing fan and athlete technology experience and I’m proud of the work our team has put in to make this happen. Sport truly has the power to connect people and with these upgrades in place the Games are going to be an even more amazing experience for the whole community.

We have been supporting local sport for a number of years in the build up to the Games and these venue upgrades are the culmination of our pledge to the community, to leave a meaningful legacy long after Games week, which we know will be a fantastic showcase of sporting achievement."

Faster speeds forever

All sporting venues will have up to 60 times faster speeds which includes fibre and 4G upgrades, meaning that the Games will feel the full benefit of our state-of-the-art fixed and mobile networks. 11 of which now have Fibre. Upgrades have been specifically planned to create a meaningful legacy, leaving all kit at the 18 fixed service venues (the ones with walls) for future sporting generations and the whole island to benefit from.

Making a difference

The Hougue du Pommier site, home to the new Aztech centre, indoor bowls and table tennis, has undergone the most significant series of upgrades, and will now benefit from fibre connectivity and new WiFi access points throughout the venues.  The transformation is undoubtably going to make a huge difference to the games and the island community.

Fibre upgrades

Our local engineers have been hard at work upgrading all venues with faster speeds.  This includes Fibre broadband connectivity at 11 of the venues, ensuring that messaging your mum, calling your best mate, or making sure the officials can easily update the live scores, can all happen, across multiple devices, all at the same time.
